A bit of a protest is planned against one more nail in the coffin of free speech. State indoctrination of children continues apace. No doubt there will be a few children of the Nulab Youth , already indoctrinated by, and submitting to, the drip drip drip of anti Christian propaganda, who will report anyone attending the rally to the thought police.
The Thought Police define homophobia thus,
"A homophobic incident is defined as: 'Any incident which is perceived to be Homophobic by the victim or any other person'."
which translates as 'It means just whatever I want it to mean, nothing more, nothing less'
I think it was The Red Queen, talking to Alice, who first defined this, The Queen,( Lewis Carol's Queen that is ,) often advises the government, her influence is everywhere.)
update, The wise Sir Henry informs me that the words were in fact spoken by Humpty Dumpty.
" 'When I use a word,' Humpty Dumpty said, in rather a scornful tone, 'it means just what I choose it to mean -- neither more nor less."

You misrepresent what this is about. The context is making vulnerable people aware of what incidents they should feel comfortable reporting. It's nothing to do with charging or prosecuting anyone, and everything to do with indicating when it is right to report an incident - if you or someone else perceives an incident to be homophobic, report it. Isn't that common sense?
The police say the EXACT same thing about every hate crime, including racial and religiously motivated hate crimes:
"Any incident which is perceived to be based upon prejudice towards or hatred of the faith of the victim or so perceived by the victim or any other person. ... Any incident which is perceived to be racist by the victim or any other person."
So much for the "drip drip drip of anti Christian of anti Christian propaganda". These same laws are there to protect you, too.
What do you mean I misrepresented that definition ? I cut and pasted the bloody words from the website.
There are a great number of people who do not believe that the state can control what we do or do not 'hate'
Perhaps gays should fucking well grow up and accept that name calling goes on in this world and live with it. There is no such thing as a hate crime in a free society, I shall like and dislike as I please and I don't give a flying fuck if you or anyone else likes it or not. A Christian or a Muslim and probably other religions too will be prejudiced against what they see as a perversion.
I see your site is for ex-gays, does this mean we will be prosecuted for upsetting the delicate feelings of gays, exgays, maybewillbegayatsomestage and all the other variations... some of us are pissed off with it already. I've been called a fat cunt, a four-eyed cunt and all manner of other 'hurtful' type of cunts... I don't go running to report a hate crime... I'm a fucking grown-up.
Never mind whether it's right or wrong to prosecute for homophobia - point is, you were using it as evidence for the "drip drip drip of anti Christian propaganda".
Plainly the police are applying this to every kind of "hate crime", including hate crimes against faith groups such as Christians. It is evidently nothing to do with anti-Christian propaganda, and thus is rather poor support for the current conservative Christian persecution complex.
Meanwhile, I'll pass on your gracious words of advice ("fucking grow up") to those who are currently depressed or mentally ill or suicidal because of homophobic (or racist or sexist) bullying.
I don't 'hate' anyone so cannot commit a 'hate crime', at most it's a 'don't like that much crime', less catchy, less emotive but far more truthful.
There are plenty of gayers who no doubt hate people they would badge as 'homophobes' because they 'call them nasty names.'
I know about being depressed it not just gays, black people or wimmin who find life a bit much... I phoned Samaritans once, I kid you not... the buggers were engaged. The irony of it all kicked me out of that black phase.
There are people that can hate acts that are thought to be sinful but not the person who sins, it's a basic part of being a christian. If you say it is a crime to hate what we think is a sin then we are certainly in the doodoo. People can hate me if they like, that is beyond my control, they can hate me for my views, my looks, smell, height, size of my feet or any other body part.... I really do not care that much. It is their right to like and dislike as they please.I certainly don't want a law against it.
I can't believe it...I won't fucking believe it...
I just fucking hate this cunt of a Government...
Percieved? That means if some bender feels miffed he can say it is homophobic and the law is bound to agree...
So much for the "drip drip drip of anti Christian of anti Christian propaganda". These same laws are there to protect you, too.
Protect us? From what? Spurious fucking charges? Heterophobia? Christianophobia? normalnonarsebanditaphobia?
Fuck off.
"Any incident which is perceived to be based upon prejudice towards or hatred of the faith of the victim"
I hate Islam, it is a pernicious faith dreamed up by a murdering, paedophile bandit to control his people and has been spread almost exclusively by conquest and violence. Today, it denies basic human rights to its followers and others who live under its control and it continue's to seek to impose itself through violence. These are my sincerely held beliefs. Islam is not a private faith, it makes propositions which others should be free to refute. I recognise the right of people to believe in Islam if they so wish, they should recognise my right to find its ideas and beliefs an affront to a modern, intelligent world.
Hating a religion is not the same as the irrational hatred of someone for something they cannot change, religion is a matter of choice.
The thought police were not a bit bothered when various 'communities' in NI were killing and maiming each other under the pretext of religion. They did not bother much with Sikhs, Budhists, JW's, Moonies or anyone else. When people got pissed off with being blown up in this country by followers of the RoP and realised what a wicked cult is really is then nulab rushed through ill thought legislation to make Muslims a special protected group, same applies to wimmin and gayers..... what I would call equality+ (TM), immune from any criticism and legally protected against any adverse comment. My other post yesterday outlined the favoured status of wimmin.....it's all part of the process to impose nulabs 'morals' on us all.
Spot on, DocBud! An Inconvenient Truth articulated.
However, as a middle-of-the-road Christian, I'm uneasy about the whole SOR debate. I really don't seek a 'Christian opt-out' from legal process. Similarly, I'd be more comfortable with a wholly disestablished Church of England, without the prospect of that twat Charlie Windsor as figurehead.
" 'When I use a word,' Humpty Dumpty said, in rather a scornful tone, 'it means just what I choose it to mean -- neither more nor less."The question is,' said Alice, 'whether you can make words mean so many different things."The question is,' said Humpty Dumpty, 'which is to be master -- that's all.' "
Thanks for that. I reckon the really important part of the quote is the final sentence:
"The question is,' said Humpty Dumpty, 'which is to be master -- that's all.' "
